- Project Charcoal filtration with capacity 1550 m3/d
- Customer Municipality of Nordkapp
- Value 2 million Norwegian kroner
- Completion 2016
The municipality of Nordkapp at the northernmost tip of Norway needed to cleanse their drinking water.
The assignment included engineering, delivery, and assembly of four corrosion free charcoal filter tanks of 15 m3 each. Tubes, fittings and process equipment. In addition to FDV documentation, start up and training.
The existing water facility was in operation during the extension.
The inhabitants of the municipality of Nordkapp, who are connected to these waterworks, now have clean and good drinking water – without any taste and odour.
Water inspector, Ottar Hansen in Nordkapp municipality
Occasional odour and taste in otherwise clean and good drinking water, impairs the experience of quality. With the right process and estimation such unwanted elements can be removed from the drinking water.
